In order to get the results you are looking for which is: resurfaced skin that’s smooth and radiant, you should use this cream at night. Because this cream is made with lactic acid, your skin might feel too sensitive if you use it during the day because of the sun.
The lactic acid helps to break down the skin cells which increases the cell turnover rate. This process reveals the skin underneath that is usually much softer and fresher.
Always make sure your skin is washed and clean before using any face moisturizer.
1. Wash your face with face soap or cleanser and towel dry (sort of dab your face)
2. While your face is still damp but not wet (this is super important), scoop out a pea-sized amount of face cream and rub it into the palms of your hands (again, super important) and apply it to your skin
3. Using gentle circular motions, spread the cream onto your face.
4. Wait for a few seconds and repeat step 2 (without wetting your face)
Use a daytime cream such as Dry Skin Face Cream or Hibiscus Face Cream to keep your skin moisturized and protected during the day.
Note: I like to use this cream at night because then my face is exfoliated while I sleep and when I wake up in the morning, I wash my face and gently manually exfoliate my face every other day to help remove the dead skin that’s been loosened by the lactic acid. I then use my Vitamin C serum which works to even out my skin and keeps the glow going.
Whether your skin is congested, dry, oily, or a combo, you will find that this face cream works well for you. It does the job that a moisturizer for dry skin, oily skin, and combination skin does. The low pH balances the different skin types so that they are at their optimum pH which makes your skin perform well and stay healthy.
